Pavlovské wetlands and Skalky

The start of this short tour is at the chapel standing at the eastern end of the town of Benešov.

Across the meadow is a massive mast and behind it another of the flat peaks of the Drahanská Highlands. We are at an altitude of about 700 meters above sea level, so in winter it's nice for cross-country skiers

We will descend less than a kilometer to Pavlovské dvor by a nice alley.

At Pavlovské Dvůr we will connect to the blue hiking trail leading to Kořenec. On the left we have the first of several local ponds

After a few tens of meters we leave the tourist route and cross the meadow to the second pond.

Here you will feel a bit Finnish. It's nice here and there are quite a few birds to see

A long ridge and a transmitter can be seen from the dam.

The third of the pond is the most photogenic. From there we return a short distance and a short way across the meadow back to the road

Pavlovský Dvůr is just a few buildings and another pond

From Pavlovského Dvůr continue in the blue direction of Skalka – crossroads. It is about two kilometers, mostly through the forest. If you have a map on your mobile phone, you can also find the highest peak of the Drahanská Highlands – Skalka, which is just a short walk from the large georadar

From the meteor radar, we set off first along a cycle path and then along a forest path until we emerge in the settlement of Pavlov, just a short distance from the chapel where we started the walk.
