The path full of sharp bends and outlook
Both the driver and the car's passengers will enjoy this car journey in the countryside of mountains and fjords, because there is ample opportunity and reason to stop. From the Troll´s path continues the road no.63 to the fjord Norddalsfjorden that must be overcome by ferry to the small settlement Eidsdal. From here continues the road no.63 up to the town Geiranger, lying on the fjord bearing the same name. In front of the town is a series of switchbacks and wonderful outlooks of the fjord. This part is also known as the Eagle Path (Ornevegen). It was opened in 1955 and the elevation is more than 650 meters. From Geiranger the road again begins to rise in numerous switchbacks and lead us to the lake Djupvatnet (1 016 m asl). From here leads a local branch to the top of Dalsnibba (1 476 m asl- toll of 60, – NOK). Round view offers mountain scenery with glaciers, lakes and fjord. The only drawback to this attractive route is the fact that many tourists come here, the roads can thus be full of buses and there may be quite a lot of people on top of Dalsnibba.
Slettvikane
The road no. 63 leaves the Troll´s path in the pass Slettvikane at a height of 700 meters above sea level. The view is worth stopping. The pass is a popular starting point for downhill cycling on the Troll´s Paths into the valley Isterdalen.
Norddalsfjorden
In the rugged Norwegian landscape is sometimes no other option how to overcome the water than by embarking a ferry. And this is the case of this fjord. Fortunately, the ferry shuttles here and the boats have a capacity also for the summer rush of tourists.
Geirangerfjorden
This fjord is in many ways unique. It is one of the most visited sites in Norway and since 2005 it is part of the UNESCO World Heritage.
Gjerdefossen
Beautiful view of the fjord and waterfall Gjerdefossen is from the outlook point that is at the beginning of the descent of the Eagle´s path.
Geiranger
This town is situated at the end of the fjord bearing the same name. It is the third largest Norwegian port for passenger ships. During the 4 month of summer season it takes in from 140 to 180 of them.

The big sea passenger ships in a relatively tight space of fjord give a little bit unnatural view, but, however, it is very nice. And dozens of busses wait for all the passengers around.

Just above Geiranger is another outlook, which is full of buses with tourists. The vast majority of them walk along asphalt trails. Only a few brave souls dare to experience a bit airier experience at their own risk …

Switchbacks
The road no.63 still rises in numerous bends through mountain countryside up to a height of 1 kilometer.
On the top
It is possible to ascend to the top of Dalsnibba after turning to the toll road. From there is from the height of 1 476 meters above sea level a wonderful view of the end of Geiranger fjord. Well visible are also the switchbacks of Eagle´s Path.
