Area Central Elborz

Central Elborz, thanks to the monumental volcano of Dāmāānd, is the highest mountain range in the whole of Iran. Moreover, due to the small distance from the capital city of Tehran, these mountains are abundantly visited by Iranian tourists in summer and skiers in winter. The mountain range itself is made up of long parallel ridges with a green valley. Most of the more significant peaks reach a height of about four thousand meters above sea level
