Brno is proud, royal town, full of unique cultural monuments. It is an inspiring metropolis where lives and works of such personalities as Leos Janacek or Gregor Johann Mendel. It is the center of South Moravia and the county seat of the South Moravian Region. You will love it with its cosmopolitan atmosphere and people with specific humor. It will delight you with its traditional meals, delicious beers and wines. It is the second largest city in the Czech Republic and has nearly 400,000 inhabitants. The dominant feature of the town is the castle and the fortress of Špilberk, the cathedral of St. Peter and Paul at Petrova or the functionalist Villa Tugendhat. It also has a number of legends – a crooked tower on the Old Town Hall portal, a painted councilor Haas, a Birkovo wooden wheel, an obscene man at St. Jakub or the famous Brno dragon in the passage of the Old Town Hall and others. Come discover his magic!
