Umag is a town on the Croatian Istrian peninsula in the very north, just a few kilometers from the border with Slovenia. Here you will find the remains of the city walls from the 10th century, including the gate and drawbridge. The dominant feature of the town is the church of the Assumption of the Virgin Mary and the bell tower from the 17th century located on the square. In the port you can walk along the historic stone pier from the 19th century.
