The Temple of Hagia Sofia in Kiev

The Orthodox Church together with its surroundings is one of the most famous monuments of Kiev. The construction of the temple began in 1037, and nowadays serves as a museum. Among other things, the temple is included in the UNESCO list and is listed as one of the seven wonders of Ukraine. During socialism, there was a proposal for the destruction of the temple, which fortunately had never been done.
