Place Mound of peace

The Peace Mound Memorial was built in honor of the victims of Napoleon's vic­torious battle of Austerlitz (December 2, 1805) according to the intention of the priest A. Slovák as the fulfillment of his idea to make the center of the former battlefield a reverent „place of light“, a memento of wars. It is the dominant feature and the natural center of the protected monument zone Slavkovské bojiště.
