The winery QUINTA DO BARBUSANO, LDA., Is located on the north coast of the island. The vineyards with white and blue vine varieties are at different altitudes on the slopes of the São Vicente valley. But the most important for the local winery is the white variety Verdelho. The north-west coast also offers the town of Seixal, where there are natural pools for swimming lovers.

Vineyard

The terraces of the vineyards are set in the beautiful scenery of the valley, at the end of which lies the town of São Vicente.

Seixal

The Seixal is an ideal place to stroll the narrow paths and alleys overlooking the ocean and the distinctive old houses surrounded by vines.

Seixal

Time has stopped in some places. The original owners may have gone to Funchal or beyond, and nature is taking back what was taken from her.

Natural pools

We close the tour of Seixal really pleasantly. We enjoy swimming in salt water, in the protected pools of the natural tidal swimming pool.
