Walk to Plešivec and surroundings

We climbed to the rocky lookout Devil's Pulpit, which offers a beautiful view of the central Brdy and the military district almost from the top of Plešivec, where you can see the target areas for shooting.

We continue along the red road and find another lookout with the poetic name Fabiánova zahrádka. From here there is a nice view of the Litavka river valley and the peaks of the middle Brdy. On the lookout there is a large fireplace and a small monument to the local hikers. The lookout is named after the patron saint Brd Fabián.

We turn to the blue and soon to the green tourist sign towards Plešivecký lake, which is also called emerald. The water surface was created by flooding the former quarry. The lake got its name from the color of the water, which, however, seemed to us all kinds, but not emerald. There is also a well by the lake.

We continue along the yellow tourist route and pass other wells. One of them was the inconspicuous Spring of the Two Brothers, where there are several wells used as a water source. The photo shows Fabian's spring a bit neglected and not very hearty.

The largest well that cannot be missed is the Cross Spring. However, the water here does not look too tempting to drink.

At the end of the circuit, we can't miss the balding wick. It is a quartz boulder, which is about 2 meters high and 3 meters long. Probably after the lightning strike, which moved it from the deposit, it has not wavered since the 19th century. According to legend, by wobbling a boulder, he could summon rain or verify the loyalty of a woman – the one who did not move him was unfaithful. Add a photo
