If you are visiting Hruboskalsko (“the area around castle Hrubá Skála”), do not forget to go through the Mouse hole (“Myší díra”) to Adam's bed (“Adamovo lože”). Although it is a very short walk, you can enjoy here the atmosphere of shady ravine between high sandstone rocks. For most tourists it is just a starting point into a big circle around Hruboskalsko or of a trip further on to the castle of Waldstein (“Valdštejn”) or up to Turnov. It can also be final destination for families with small children. They may like it here due to the rock chasms that are on the way. At the same time leads this way also an alternative way from Spa Sedmihorky.

Mousehole (“Myší díra”)

In the parking lot in front of the castle Hrubá Skála at refreshment stalls is a bit hidden entrance into the Mouse hole – the longest cave in Hruboskalsko. You can expect descent along a few dozen of stairs through narrow slit between the rock towers. Very obese people should think over going inside not to be caught here.

Entry into the Mouse hole

After you descend a number of stairs, you will find yourself at the bottom of the shady ravine surrounded by high rock towers, so-called Dragoon rocks. The entry into the Mouse hole itself looks from here quite mysteriously.

Dragon rocks (“Dračí skály”)

In the east direction from here drops the tourist trail to Spa Sedmihorky or alternatively to the railway station Hrubá Skála. However, we will walk the exact opposite direction to Adam's bed.

Peaks of rock towers

You will have your head thrown back most of the time during this walk to see the tops of rocks.

At Adam's bed

The path rises and through a narrow depression you get to the small „square“, on the south side of which is famous Adam's bed.

Looking back you can nicely see a small rocky chasm, through which you came to the “square” at Adam's bed.

Through the rocky ravine to the signpost

From Adam's bed awaits you final ascent through rocky ravine to the signpost. If you walk with small children, you might want to return along the road back to the castle. If you undertake the crossing of the Bohemian Paradise, you will probably continue directly to the castle Wallenstein, but most tourists head further on in the direction of Marian outlook (“Mariánská”) and another outlook places.
