If you have already passed the center of the Thai city of Ayuthaya, take a nice trip around the city with a visit not only to the impressive Wat Chaiwatthanaram. The temple is exhibited in the so-called Khmer style and is located on the western outskirts of the city

Chao Praya river

Wat Chaiwatthanaram can also be reached by car, but a much more interesting option is to stop here on a boat trip. These are mostly organized, but far better and only slightly more expensive is the private payment. Even the voyage itself with observation of the surrounding life is worth it.

Wat Chaiwatthanaram

You are sailing on a river and suddenly this beautiful temple appears from the local haze. The temple is supposed to be the most beautiful of all the Khmer ones around Ayutthaya, but much less visited because it is a bit out of hand.

Buddha clothes in the temple

The temple looks a bit like the famous Wat Ratburana from the city center, but it is more monumental and mainly not located in a modern building.
