Article Visit of Pashupatinath

If you take a taxi to the temple from the center of Kathmandu, it will take you to a fairly large car park some 500 meters from the temples and the river. The alley leading to them is full of merchants with properties for funeral ceremonies

The road then continues, parallel to the river, through a beautifully paved street with temples on both sides. On the left is the mighty Pancha Devalaya

In the center of the entire complex flows the river Bagmati, which is sacred to both Hindus and Buddhists. Unfortunately, after flowing through Kathmandu it looks more like a sewer. Just behind the temple is a sacred cave, but it is unfortunately accessible only to native Hindus.
 

The entire complex looks like a small Varanasi. Along the river are ghats, where dead are burned according to the ancient traditions. Each caste has its own.
 

There are a number of funeral ghats and the ceremonies go one after another. The fact that tourists are involved here is so inappropriate

Cross one of the two bridges over the river and go up the nice staircase to the view of the temple

The most beautiful views of the entire complex are from the eastern bank of river Bagmati. There is also a lot of monkeys, so be careful with any snack.
 

From the outlook point above the river is easy to see how the entire complex is extensive. There is often a smoulder from many funerals, during which are the dead bodies burnt. It's up to your ethics, whether you take a picture from here.

There are really plenty of macaques, this location can easily compete with the Swayambhunath Monkey Temple

If you want to go through everything in detail here, count on at least two hours. At speed, you only need half an hour

As a bonus, you can walk a few tens of meters to the gorge of the Bagmati River
