Picturesque fishing village on Milos
In the Cyclades and particularly on the island of Milos is interesting to see fishing dwellings called wires, which served not only for housing, but also as a small yard. These dwellings are often carved into the rock and are mostly brightly colored or in a combination of white and light blue – typical for Greece. The best example of the “wires” is in the village of Klima, which can be reached along a narrow and winding road from the town Typiti.

Once you go down a winding road, right at the beginning of this fishing village welcomes you a picturesque church.

The road ends practically in the sea and along the shore stretch the houses called “wires” stuck to the rock.
Picturesque “wires”
Klima is extremely picturesque. Moreover, it is not an open-air-museum, but you can still meet here elderly fishermen pulling their nets.

Behind the wide bay (flooded crater of originally high volcano) that practically separates the island of Milos into two parts, rises the current highest mountain on the island Profitis Elias (748 m asl) /translation: Prophet Elijah/.

The opposite part of the island looks very drought.

The atmosphere in climates is enhanced by local fishermen singing here often very loudly.
The outlook above Klima
If you have enough time, you can walk away from Klima either along the way of the cross to the old catacombs and to the cathedral in Trypiti, the ancient amphitheater or to the beautiful outlook with church Profitis Elias, which is partially visible also from the pier in Klima.
