Directly from the town of Arkása you can take a nice walk to the hills directly above the city. On this walk are the best beautiful views from the Arcas to the sea.

The beginning of the tour in Arkasa

The arcade is basically divided into two parts by a small gorge. Our tour begins just a short walk from the church and lively taverns, where the busy path descends to the bottom of the valley and continues to the other side. However, we will climb the street upwards with a view of the other, larger part of the city on the other side.

Arkasa

The path rises slowly above the edge of the valley and there are nice views of the church.

View from the waterworks

It is interesting that you will meet a couple of parked cars here. The dead end through the mountains ends here and for some residents it is more advantageous to leave the car here and not have to tread a hill from the sea. In the serpentine of this road there is a waterworks and a view of the valley.

Gorge

From the waterworks, the more significant path no longer continues through the gorge. The bottom itself is impenetrable. Road on the slopes is potentially possible.

Turning up the hill

If you continue along this asphalt road from the waterworks about 500 meters, you will reach the main road connecting Arkasa with the airport. It is better to climb a small valley a little behind the bridge and climb to the top of the lookout hill.

Amazing views of the Arcas

The views from the hill are absolutely perfect and the terrain is permeable even in sandals, with a little caution.

Above the Arkesia Hotel

Directly below you will be the last building in the city – Hotel Arkesia. It is more difficult to descend directly to it, thanks to the high rock wall, and to shorten the path. You will have to walk up to the road and run into the city for those few hundred meters. Great walk where you won't even meet a living animal.
