The road from Babice nad Svitavou to Adamov will show us not only the beauties of autumn nature, but will also take us to interesting rock formations and caves.

Babice nad Svitavou

We start the journey in Babice nad Svitavou near the church of St. John the Baptist.

Cemetery

The cemetery around the church is also a source of information about who lived and worked here and when. Towards the karst nature, we continue on the red marked hiking trail to the north.

On the edge of the forest

At the end of the village we leave the red one and continue along the yellow tourist sign further north to the edge of the forest.

Little Stepmother

If you know the classic Macocha, this location will probably not be so attractive to him. Nevertheless, I think it is worth a short detour (from yellow to yellow) to the interior of the forest.

Open rock cave

The descent along the yellow marked path leads us to the valley of the Křtinský brook. On the road we leave the tourist signs and turn right. After about 200 meters we find the Open Rock right by the road.

Cyril and Methodius Trail

After another 100 meters, we turn left onto the blue-marked Cyril and Methodius Trail and climb slightly in the direction of the Křtinský brook.

Kostelík Cave

Surprisingly, there are no bats in the passage cave Kostelík, but we discover a much larger animal specimen on the rock wall.

Bull Rock

A beautiful stop on our journey is this rock and cave, which got its name after the discovery of a bronze statue of a bull.

Jedovnický and Křtinský streams

We continue along the blue marked road in the direction of Adamov. We pass the spring of the Jedovnický brook.

Jáchymka Cave

Another through cave above the valley of the Křtinský brook is Jáchymka.

Forest bar

Our last stop in front of Adamov is the forest bar. It doesn't matter if it's closed inside. You can serve yourself outside and pay for the prepared money box.
