Kiev one of the oldest cities in Europe at present, the capital of Ukraine is interesting especially in terms of history, the whole city is full of beautiful buildings and especially churches that dominate the city. For the visitor, however, they also bring several monuments and museums from the period of socialism, which are interesting especially for their monumentality. The advantage of Kiev is also that it is one of the cheaper capitals within Europe.

Kiev Fortress

The fortress served to defend the city during the 16th – 17th century, and today it is largely turned into a hospital. Admission to the fortress is 1 hryvnia, but it is not a problem to go there without paying the entrance fee, because there moves a large number of locals. The fortress overlooks the Olimpiysky National Sports Complex.

Zoloti Vorota

The Golden Gate was one of the most important parts of the fortifications during the Mongol invasions of Kiev, and it is currently the last preserved part of the fortifications.
