Border huts have become a popular and fashionable destination. It offers a number of comfortable accommodation options of a higher category. If someone is looking for a cheaper and a little more romantic option, then just beyond the border offers a hostel „Na Przełęczy Okraj“ belonging to the Polish tourist club PTTK

Position

This Polish hut is located just behind the Czech-Polish border at an altitude of 1046 meters above sea level in the pass Okraj, after which it is named. Many hiking trails start in all directions from the border crossing.

History

The first small wooden hut was built in these places at the beginning of the 19th century. In 1922, a brick one-storey building with a dining room and rooms for tourists was built here. After the Second World War, the building was demolished and in 1964 a border crossing was established here. In 1975, a mountain hut of the PTTK tourist club with 28 beds was built on this site. After modifications, today's hut „Na Przełęczy Okraj“ was created from it.

Accommodation and meals

Accommodation capacity of the hut is 40 beds. It offers rooms for 2,3,4,6 and 7 people. Showers and toilets are shared and located on the ground floor. In addition, there is a double or triple room with bathroom. The restaurant offers all-day refreshments and homemade dinners On the ground floor of the hostel is a lounge with fireplace, where guests can relax in a pleasant cozy atmosphere.
