Marmolada (3343 m above sea level) is the highest mountain in the Dolomites, which are part of the Alps. On the north side is the relatively flat Marmolad Glacier, the only large glacier in the Dolomites. At the top is a small mountain hut in operation during the summer. The ridge consists of several peaks decreasing in height from west to east: Punta Penia (3343 m), Punta Rocca (3309 m), Punta Ombretta (3230 m), Monte Serauta (3069 m), and Pizzo Serauta (3035 m) – output – July 2018

Start of ascent ...

The top of Punta Penia can be made easier with the help of the cable car, which we used … but the very ascent and descent from it was an experience ..

Are we starting the output..descent?

after riding the cable car we decided whether to go up the glacier (I think it would be easier and shorter) or whether to climb the ferrata … we decided on a ferrata (difficulty B) and so we had to go down a bit ..

Before boarding the ferrata
