Krkonoše ridge crossing III: the third stage of the Krkonoše crossing is one of the easier ones. You will relatively easily overcome two peaks with rock formations – Mužské and Dívčí kameny, to finally descend to the Silesian saddle, better known as Špindlerovka after the mountain hut that stands here. The length of this stage is approx. 5 km.

View back to Vysoké Kolo

This stage of the Krkonoše ridge crossing starts at the crossroads below Smělec (1,350m above sea level) and slowly rises to Mužské Kamen. Looking back, you can see Wawel, Vysoké Kolo and the Smělec peak (already in Poland).

At the Male Stones

Finally, the first peak on this stage is in front of you – the interesting rock formation of Mužské Kameny (1,417m above sea level). But if you want some views, you have to climb over the rocks to the top.

The view from Mužské kamen

From Mužské kamené there is a nice view to the south – all the way to Špindlerův Mlýn, which lies a few hundred meters below you. The meadows with Krkonoše cottages are also nice, here the Brádler and Medvědí huts

View of Vysoké Kolo and Wawel

From Mužské kamené, the path continues almost along the contour. The views back to Vysoké Kolo and Wawel are beautiful.

The way to Maiden's Stones

The continuation to Dívčí kamení is definitely not physically demanding – the terrain is only minimally undulating.

Girl stones

It's only a quarter of an hour's walk from Men's to Girl's stones. It won't even occur to you that it is the 16th highest mountain in the Czech Republic. But it's definitely a nice rock formation.

View from Dívče kamené

The Girl's Rocks are perhaps slightly prettier rock formations than the Men's Rocks, but then again, the view from them is a little worse.

Descent to the Silesian Pass

From Dívče kamené, you will already have a longer descent to the Silesian saddle, where this stage ends.

At Peter's shed

After you leave the forest, you will reach a beautiful meadow near Peter's hut (currently being rebuilt) with an absolutely wonderful view. It is definitely worth stopping here for a while and enjoying yourself.

Picturesque views of Malý Šišák

On the way from Peter's hut, there are still picturesque views of Malý Šišák.

Here it is possible to turn to the well-known Moravská bouda , where there is a well-known cuisine and the possibility of accommodation.

Views „back“ are not so attractive. Now you are waiting for a small ascent to the super unremarkable Čihadlo peak (1,213m above sea level).

Špindlerůvka

After an hour and a half of walking, you are at the end of that stage in the busy Silesian Saddle with the well-known Špindlerovka cottage. Here it is possible to refresh and rest before the next procedure.
