One of the most popular hikes leading from Špindlerův Mlýn is the ascent through the Bílé Labe valley to Luční bouda. Along the way, you will meet a number of waterfalls, and at the end you will also have wide views of the Krkonoše Mountains.

The Great White Elbe Waterfall

The path from Špindlerův Mlýn leads for a long time along the blue tourist sign along with the route to the Labský dol. At Dívčí lávka you will disconnect and continue east to the Bílé Labe valley. The road still runs on asphalt (it is also a wheelchair path). After three kilometers from the center, I am at the first big attraction of this hike – the Great Waterfall

At Svozu

Especially for families with children, the playground „U Svozu“ is an essential stop on this hike. A short distance away is the Balvanový waterfall.

The shed at White Elbe

After six kilometers of walking from Špindlerův Mlýn, the first, easy, stage of this hike ends. A comfortable paved path ends at the U Bílého Labe hut, so it is usually the end for strollers.

Weirs on the Bílá Elba

From the cottage, the path climbs significantly steeper along a narrow mountain footpath. The first distant views slowly open up and below you is a whole series of small, artificially constructed weirs.

Avalanche rapids

Another famous place on this hike is the „avalanche rapid“. Here, the trail traverses rock plates where snow avalanches and quite often stones fall. For most of the year, this humid Aklju place is traditionally full of ice in winter.

Silver Bystřina

The landscape is changing – the spruce trees are gradually disappearing. Between the round ridges of the Čertov and sStříbrné hills lies the Stříbrná Bystřina

White meadow near Luční bouda

You have the last steps left to Luční bouda, an important crossroads of tourist routes. In Luční bouda you can have refreshments or accommodation if it suits you. You can go back to Špindlerův Mlýn in several different ways.
