A forgotten rock town
Directly at the eastern entrance to the Podtrosecký valley, between the magnets of the Bohemian Paradise – Trosky and Hrubá skála, it lies by the main road of the village of Borek. From Borek you can go for about an hour's walk to the little-known and visited Borecké rocks. The walk is quite nice, although of course it does not reach the fame of the surrounding attractions of the Bohemian Paradise. This trip is so ideal for those who want to get to know the lesser-known places of this beautiful area.
Pond at the beginning of Borecké rocks
The start of this tour starts at the inn in Borek pod Troskami (directly opposite the road leading to Hrubá Skála). Take the unmarked path along the last building in the village to the pond on the krjai rocks.

Continue along the footpath along the north side of the pond. On the other hand, sandstone rocks „growing“ directly from the pond are typical for the Bohemian Paradise.

Lush vegetation of the Borecká cascade
In this valley, which you walk, a number of small ponds and tunnels have been built under the name Borecká cascade. In summer there is lush vegetation and you can see water lilies.
Canyon walls
In other parts of the Bohemian Paradise, a sandstone slab is cracked into amazing rock towers. Here, however, it is compact. You feel like in a canyon, where its vertical wall exceeds you by a good line of meters

Crossroads by the pond
The road continues to several secluded cottages. Here, pay attention to the imperceptible turn to the right over the dam of the miniature pond. There is also a small sign „Rovensko“

The road then leads along the fenced field of Rovensko, so if you are lucky you will see a proper herd of fallow deer
Turtle Rock
From the pond, the path continues for about three-quarters of a kilometer across the northern edge of the forest with sparse views of the meadows behind the forest and the rock towers on the hill above you. Then only the final ascent to the flat peak Bor (360 m above sea level) below which leads the blue tourist path from Rovensko pod Troskami. From here, you can sometimes wait for a tourist. About 50 meters from the hiking trail is the most famous local rock Turtle
Viewpoint of Svatopluk Čech
After about 150 meters you will walk to the lookout of Svatopluk Čech, which is probably the most famous place in the whole Borecké rocks. You are standing on the edge of a sandstone massif and you have in the palm of your hand the KLibuňka valley with a beautiful view of the ruins

The view is not secured in any way by the railing, so be careful not to fall into the depths below you while making love.
Road on the edge
The road continues down to the Libuňka valley, a short distance from the edge of the rock massif. You will enjoy the view of the ruins several more times.
View of Hrubá Skála
After a few hundred meters from the viewpoint of Svatopluk Čech, you will leave the forest and a beautiful view will open up to the Hrubá Skála chateau.
Road through the meadow
The hiking trail winds slightly here, but you can take a short walk across the meadow directly to the main road, which is about 400 meters to the starting point. This is an unpleasant part of the whole tour, as there is no curb and the traffic is quite heavy
