A walk on the border between Italy and Switzerland
Switzerland's border with Italy stretches through the Sesvenna mountain range. Passo di Slinga (2,309m) is probably the shortest and easiest walk you can do from the Sesvennahütte mountain hut. It is only 1.1 km to the pass and 1.7 km to the boundary stone, almost on a straight line.
The way up to the pass
The path from the cottage leads through the flat valley of the Rio di Slinga stream along a relatively wide path, also marked as a cycle path.

Since the surrounding terrain is quite flat and waterlogged, you will come across several lakes here.

The landscape here looks more like a plateau somewhere in Mongolia or Tibet.

View to Switzerland
There is not much to see directly from the border. You have to walk a little further to such a flat elevation, from where there is a nice view of the hiking trail descending into Switzerland and the Val d'Uina valley. If you wanted to go down to the main road to the Innu valley, it is some 13 kilometers still down
