Article Besedice rocks circuit

The ideal starting point for this circuit is the village of Besedice. There are a couple of log cabins, a restaurant and a small playground. The parking lot in the village is small, so it is full in season and on nice weekends and then you have to park along the narrow road to Koberovy. If you set out on this hike from Malá Skála, expect a good ascent from Jizera. Here you are basically almost at the top of the hill

At one building you will see a number of wooden sculptures – this will be appreciated mainly by children

Follow the red sign to the edge of the forest at the U Kalicha crossroads. Here it is up to you which direction to take the circuit. If clockwise, continue along the blue mark. After a while you are at the first lookout from where you can see in the distance Kozákov and the village Besedice is directly below you

After a few meters, the passage through the picturesque rocks begins from a viewpoint

The first peak of this circuit is the passage of a narrow rock mound

From the rocks you ascend to a wide area, where there is a bench and a little further a monument. There is also a forest path leading to the yellow hiking trail, which you could shorten the circuit, but why? :-)

The path descends from the crossroads to the rock maze Kalich

The center of the Kalich rock maze is the sluj of the Czech brothers, where the brothers used to pray secretly on the White Mountain.

From the prayer room you still continue through the attractive landscape of the Besedice Rocks

After leaving the slut of the Czech brothers, the beauty subsides for a while. Follow the yellow path to the crossroads with the red Kalich – Na Rovině and from there you will descend to another rock maze – Chleviště

You can go to the rocks x times and every time it will look different. The sun illuminates the rocks in different ways during the day, and the seasons do their part

The last interesting place before the views of the Jizera Valley begin is the slum of Václav Sadovský. One steep staircase awaits you here

One of the highlights of this short tour is the ascent to Hořák's lookout, which are actually two separate rock towers. The view of the Jizera Valley is impressive from here

It has a good atmosphere here, especially in the early evening

The last view in the rock labyrinth of Chléviště is the Kinský lookout. It is nice to see, for example, Ještěd

The last ascent through the rocks and suddenly the end and the classic forest begins. It is only a short distance from the edge of the rocks at the crossroads of Lord's Field. If you want to cut short, here is another option to take the red road directly to Besedice. But you would lose the top of Sokol

The road to Sokol leads for some time along the contour line through a beech forest. For most of the year, the relatively boring part of this circular route. In the autumn afternoon, when the sun shines, a great experience

Just before the short ascent to the top of Sokol is the lonely rock tower Sokolík in which there is a large plaque in memory of Dr. Tyrše

Sokol (562 m above sea level) the highest peak in the vicinity of Besedice has a sandstone peak surrounded by railings

From Sokol there is a famous view of Suché skály. Unfortunately, a few trees have grown considerably in recent years and the outlook is deteriorating

From the top of Sokol it is only a few hundred meters to Besedice, where this circuit closes. The density of attractions per kilometer of walk is really high
