From the beach straight into the jungle
Tourism in Rarotonga is not just about the most famous Cross-Island Track. Basically, you can make at least a short trip to oceanic nature from each roads leading to the interior. Well accessible is a short trip from Muri beach along the river Avana with views of the surrounding jungles in overgrown mountains.
Homestead in paradise
Less than a kilometer along the road from the center of Muri beach just in front of the bridge over the river of Avana there is a turning to the interior, along which the path of this trek leads. Along the path there are several agricultural farms in fabulously green landscape with mountain ridges on the horizon.
On the way to the jungle
The path is quite obvious and you cannot lose your way.
Jungle
After the path disappears into the forest, there are not many views. The road does not lead finally to any mountain, but only to a small waterworks. Unfortunately, after about an hour of walking you need to turn here and go back the same way.

This trip offers beautiful views of the dramatic mountainous inland.
