With its height of 1203 m, Travný is the fifth highest peak of the Moravian-Silesian Beskydy. Thanks to the peak, which is overgrown with spruce, it does not offer us many views, maybe that is why few tourists come to it and thus it becomes one of the few affected peaks of the Beskydy Mountains, where you can still find a place of peace. There are three routes to the top, from Pražma, Morávka, or the easiest from Visalají.

Route description

I start the route in the village of Raškovice at the Ondráš bus stop. I walk along the asphalt road around the church in Pražma, a village immediately adjacent to Raškovice. I leave the asphalt road at the cemetery, where the paved road begins and continue through the forest. The first steps through the forest lead along an undemanding footpath through a meadow and a crossroads at Na Přelači. There is a yellow sign from the village of Krásná. I continue up the former ski slope. The slope rises more and more, the forest starts again, it will accompany me to the top and then on the way down. It is necessary to add that there is perhaps no such wooded hill in the Beskydy Mountains. The path has the character of a climb, which alternates about three times a gentle plane before I reach the top. A few years back, at least the top of Lysá hora could be seen from the top, now it's just about where you are. Even so, it has its charm. The absolute peace, the noise of the forest and the occasional singing birds. At least I can perceive nature, the surroundings and myself more. At the top, I write in the top book, enjoy the peace and continue along the blue sign to Travný rozcestí, from where my steps lead to the green sign. After a slight descent, I reach the next point of the route, the Plato crossroads. If I continue on the green, I will reach Visalaj, where there is a bus turntable. But my steps lead along the yellow marked sidewalk leading to Zlatník, from where the same bus as from Visalají leaves me.
