In the west of Mongolia, for 1,500 km, there is a mountain range with peaks covered with glaciers. The highest mountain of Chüjten (4374 m) is shared by Mongolia and China just a short distance from the tri-border with Russia. The second highest, Munkhkhairkhan (4362 m) is already located entirely in Mongolian territory. The whole mountain massif is sacred to the locals. From the deep valleys to the snow line, herdsmen graze their herds and regularly move all their property on camel caravans. An area with a rich history, where few things are reminiscent of the 21st century
