Czech Siberia is named after the writer Jan Herben, who describes the surroundings of Mezivrat, but the definition of Czech Siberia is relatively vague. The following municipalities are considered as its core: Votice, Jankov, Ratměřice, Neustupov, Smilkov and Miličín. In a broader definition, the Czech Siberia is classified around the villages of Blaník (Zvěstov, Libouň, Louňovice pod Blaníkem, Načeradec, Pravonín), around the town of Sedlec-Prčice and sometimes also Mladovožicko
