The little-known and still undiscovered Cerová vrchovina mountain range is located in the south of Central Slovakia near the border with Hungary, its dominant feature is the Šomoška castle and the equally well-known stone waterfall with a rocky sea. The mountains intersect several hiking trails on which it is almost impossible to meet tourists. Most of the routes pass around the ruins of castles, of which there were many in the past, but also through quarries and other remnants of mining activities.
