Huka Falls are easily accessible waterfalls, located just off the road, near the town of Taupo. They are the most watery waterfalls in all of New Zealand. The area around the waterfall is easily accessible by scenic trails, making it an ideal place for a short break

View of Huka Falls

The waterfall, which you will hear from afar, is set in lush vegetation. It is not only about 6 meters high.

Canyon in front of a waterfall

Perhaps even more interesting than the waterfall itself, just the canyon in front of it. The Waikato River is reduced from 100 meters wide to just 15 meters

An ideal channel for canoeists :-)
