Vonoklasy is a small inconspicuous village in the district of Prague-West. The village is part of the Bohemian Karst Protected Landscape Area. A large number of hiking trails intersect in the village. However, we will set off on the nature trail Around Vonoklas, which copies the yellow tourist sign and takes us to remarkable places around the village, but also to the views from which there is a beautiful view of the countryside.

At the chapel

The circuit can be started in any direction. We parked at the Chapel of St. Panny Marie, located at the Vonoklasy bus stop, cottage.

Oaks under Vysoká

Unique memorial trees can certainly be included among the attractions. The memorable two summer oaks are a majestic remnant of the historical border between the Zbraslav and Dobřichovice estates (today the borders of the cadastral areas of Vonoklasy and Černošice). Near the memorable oaks, the historic entrance road is also clear.

Oak near Nová Vráž

Another remnant of the border trees dividing the two local estates. The oak was probably planted at the beginning of the 17th century during the then demarcation of the newly acquired land by the Zbraslav estate. According to this, its age is estimated at more than 400 years.

The valley of the stream

We also have a significant decline in the valley of the Kluček stream. The local picturesque environment is further enhanced by the number of flowering anemones, orsejas and smokeweeds.

PP Krásná stráň

Then the road leads us along the border of the natural monument Krásná stráň. It is a wooded slope mostly covered with oak-hornbeam with a predominance of winter oak and hornbeam. The stag beetle thrives in the local dwarf oaks.

Karas prospect

On the way along the edge of Krásná stráně, a number of beautiful views of the Berounka valley open up to us, but one of the most beautiful is from Karasov's viewpoint. The deforested place serves not only for loving, but also as a starting area for paragliding.

Sad

The road took us back to the village of Vonoklasy and from there again out of the village towards the historic cherry orchard, where you can sit and enjoy the view of the village.

Big rock

Lovers of geology will certainly enjoy the next stop at the so-called Great Rock. This is an interesting rock formation, which is definitely worth a few meters walk. The more adventurous can try climbing the top of the rock along a steep path.

Viewpoint Malá skála

The little rock really got its name. One would hardly find a rock here, but there is a very nice view all the way to Cukrák. Another lookout point is the nearby Homole lookout.

Cows wherever you look

In the whole vicinity of Vonoklas there are many pastures not very common in our country breed of Scottish Highland Cattle.
