Article Valtice - winery

The castle cellar, located directly under the main palace, is the oldest wine cellar in Valtice. The perfectly reconstructed castle cellar is the most beautiful backdrop for one hundred of the best wines of the Czech Republic. An interesting fact is that it also offers wines from the Liechtenstein princely winery.

At the entrance to the cellar, there is an educational exhibition dedicated to winemaking. In the beautiful atmosphere of the historic cellars, you can taste the best wines all year round except for January. You can choose a tasting program according to your taste or arrange a tasting guided by a local sommelier.

The Wine Salon of the Czech Republic exhibition is located in the castle cellar. It is a national wine competition and a permanent tasting exhibition of the best wines from Moravia and Bohemia. More than sixty wineries from Moravia and Bohemia are represented here, from small winemakers to larger companies.

You can freely browse the cellar and taste individually as part of your program. A brief profile and contact details are written for each winery. There is also a list of his wines awarded with the gold medal of the Wine Salon of the Czech Republic.
An interesting feature is the machine that dispenses different types of wine.

The well-known wine company Vinné sklepy Valtice is located right in Valtice. Its premises are located to the west of the castle.
For urgent cases, a „Wine Emergency“ is available in front of it.
