Fairytale bay below mountains
Turunc accessible only through a narrow mountain winding road surpassing the pass (400m asl) on the ridge separating it from the busier civilization or by boat is much calmer and more relaxed than the surrounding resorts. From the beaches there are beautiful views of the few hundred meter high mountain, which rise here almost directly from the sea.
Rock landslide
Northern part of the cove is much quieter than the south part. It ends off with a big rock, whose significant part collapsed directly into the sea.
The northern end of the beach
From the northern end of the beach a short walk from the mountain landslide there is a beautiful panoramic view of the whole bay.
Riverbed
Almost exactly in the middle of the town there is a riverbed, which brings water from the surrounding mountains. It also partly contains seawater.
Mustafa Kemal - Atatürk
Even in Turunc there is a statue of Father of the Turks and their first president – Mustafa Kemal.
Port
There is also agile boat traffic in Turunc – it offers not only trips to the nearby coves, but also frequent boat taxis to Marmaris , which work as an alternative to the travel by dolmus.
The view into inland
The view of more than half a kilometer long limestone ridge that separates Turunc from Icmeler is also nice.
