The Špindlerovka mountain hut stands above Špindlerův Mlýn at an altitude of 1205 m above sea level directly on the Czech-Polish border. The annex of the hotel is even built just across the border in Poland. From the center of Spindleruv Mlyn, it is less than 10 km by road. It is very well accessible by bus and for guests by car.

History

The first building on this site was built in 1784 by the mayor of Bedřichov, František Špindler, who further expanded it in 1824, and at that time it was called Rychtář's hut. In 1826 and 1885, the hut burned down twice, but was always rebuilt. In 1914, a mountain road was brought to it and thus its flourishing began. At present, it serves as a luxury mountain hotel with extensive facilities. It is interesting that during the II. St. During the war, Špindlerův Mlýn served as a prisoner of war camp for officers from the French, British and American armies
