About 350 m northeast of Špindlerův Mlýn, just beyond the borders, there is the Polish hut Obrození (Schronisko Odrodzenie). The building with an interesting pyramid roof is made of classic bricks to withstand the harsh weather on the open plain at an altitude of 1245 m. and restaurants. On the upper floors there are rooms of various sizes and categories. In nice weather, we offer a pleasant sitting on the observation deck.

Position

This alpine hostel, designed for less demanding guests, is ideally located in the middle of the Krkonoše ridge. Thanks to this, you can set off in all directions and, in addition to the ridge, you can also get to know the Polish part of the Giant Mountains.

History

The building was built in 1928 as a youth hostel under the name „Rübezahl“. In 1933, the building was confiscated by the Germans from the original owners of Jewish origin and was taken over by the German youth organization Hitlerjugend, and the name was changed to „Adolf-Baude“. During World War II, it served as a recreational facility for German army officers. After the war, thanks to a change of borders, it found itself in Poland and was opened to tourists in 1949. In the 1960s, the hut underwent extensive reconstruction. At the end of the 1970s, it offered a total of 84 beds, but then gradually began to fall into disrepair. On March 1, 2009, it fell into private hands and the building was completely renovated and began to pulsate again with lively tourism.
