Nature full of colors and sounds
There are two circuits in the Norris Geyser Basin. Longer Back Basin with Steamboat. But then there's the Porcelain Basin, which is short but all the more picturesque. It is very dangerous to get off these sidewalks. Because there are many cavities under the surface and a person can sink. However, they do not have to fall deep, but you are guaranteed to be killed by the toxic gases that are in these cavities. Likewise, be close to these lakes, where there is a risk of 2nd – 3rd degree burns.

Most thermal objects have a temperature above the boiling point. Which is due to the height of the area of 93 ° C. There is the highest geyser in the world Steamboat – Steamer with an interval from 4 days to 50 years. Gushing up to a height of 90 meters, but more common are from 3 to 12 meters, which are really visible all the time, at least these small about 5 meters I watched for a few minutes. The local landscape is really inhospitable to man. And it is possible to find several articles on how some visitors died here. I had the opportunity to go through both circuits. The sulfur is really strong here – it really stinks, I can observe how restless the geyser lakes are, from which they smoke and the steam from them can really warm up. Each pond is colored differently, depending on what attribute dissolves and is found in it. In the same way, the mud of geysers or even the spooky humming gorge of some even smoked. Nature from another planet. It is a place that is not found anywhere else on the planet. Steamboat had the most people, then it sorted out. Here I was fully aware of how dangerous Yellowstone is and yet so beautiful. It can also be seen on the surrounding trees, which are burned. The most terrifying were the sounds from the chimneys from the cavities in the underground. That's what I thought, „This is how I imagine the gate to hell.“ Some smoked and made strange noises, others just made noises. It takes about an hour to get around the Back Basin. We moved to Porcelain Basin. I was just probably present at the weak geyser, because in addition to the steam, I could also smell the soft water. Many of these lakes can be seen from this hill. This circuit is most interesting for crayons. When I reached Porcelain Spring, I could enjoy it here. It's probably the largest color area here. It's hard to describe in words, but it's really wonderful.
