The heart of the picturesque town is the Manětín chateau, which was built here on the site of the original fortress at the end of the sixteenth century. Manětín Castle is a large one-storey building, which is connected to the castle garden with a fountain in the southern part. After the period of decline during the socialist period, there was an extensive restoration of the entire building. It is owned by the state and is open to the public. Castle Garden

Adjacent to the chateau building is an ornamental garden, mentioned as early as 1604. After a fire in 1712, a French High Baroque garden with a distinctive central axis and a swimming pool in a flower garden was used in the garden, and an orangery was built in 1734. After nationalization in 1945, the park was devastated and a large oval pool in the center of the garden was established. In the 1990s, the devastated garden was restored and the swimming pool with a statue of a naked child in the center of the garden was repaired.
