The Velký Sokol gorge is the longest gorge in the Slovak Paradise. It is just over 5 km. It is also the furthest from Podlesok. Of all those gorges, Velký Sokol came to me the least demanding. The passage was in 1898, but the gorge was not accessible to tourists until 1956. It is still, but to be extra careful. And consider going here with the kids.

The beginning of the gorge

The beginning is very gradual and goes around a paved stream.

The gorge begins to close and the first cascade comes with it

Inside

We already enjoy the beauty of the longest gorge. What I like about the gorges is that I don't know what awaits me behind every turn. For some, it may resemble a video game.

A small waterfall

The first longer ladder on the route. Again, it is necessary to consider letting children do something like this.

Big waterfall

The most beautiful place in Velký Sokol. I really liked this place and I consider it to be at Velký Sokol

The gorge is wet enough

It is difficult to cross the Velký Sokol gorge with dry feet.

High rocks

The dominant feature of this gorge is its rocks, which I estimate are 150 meters high.

Narrow streets

It is very narrow and full of trees.

Overcoming

Sometimes overcoming is really difficult and time consuming.
