Otta is both a city at the crossroads of important roads, but also a great starting point for the Rondane National Park, where you will find lakes, rivers and glacier-smoothed mountain ridges. From Otto, which lies in the valley, take road number 444 to the plateau. The destination is the mountain settlement Mysusaeter. In summer, you can move four kilometers further on the road. It is an ideal place for short walks or for a good hike in the mountains

Panorama of Otto

From Otto, road number 444 climbs with a few bends. From one is a super panoramic view of the valley junction. It is simply a city situated in a beautiful place

Mysusaeter

From Otto it is about 13 kilometers to the parking lot in the mountain village Mysusaeter (870m). Here you will find typical Norwegian houses

Landscape on the outskirts of Rondane

We are here at the beginning of May, so still out of the classic tourist season. Some of the houses here have an absolutely magical location

View of the peaks of Rondane

The path climbs upwards until at an altitude of about 1000 meters above sea level you reach the plateau with beautiful views of the surrounding peaks

Rondane in early May

Beautiful panorama of the mountains, although at this time more for cross-country skiers than for tourists
