Salatín 1630m high mountain lying outside the main ridge of the Low Tatras. The best accessible route leads from the settlement of Ludrová near the town of Ružomberok. Thanks to the location of the mountain, it is little visited and at the same time there are wonderful views of the surroundings, where we can see Mala Fatra, Choč, the Western and High Tatras and part of the Low Tatras ridge. The ascent is not particularly demanding, but the circuit we went on is a bit lengthy to ascend (22 km). It is a regular all-day event.

Canyon

As soon as we turn off the road, the character of the landscape changes quickly and we find ourselves in a canyon, which is overgrown with lush vegetation, where the sidewalk often leads through flowing streams of water.

From the meadow areas, a steep climb leads to the top, where we expected beautiful views of the surroundings. The peak as such is densely covered with kneeling vegetation. However, there are a few places with a meadow, where you can enjoy for a while at least a view of the ridge of the Low Tatras
