In earlier times, virtually the entire western coast of California was covered by the impenetrable Sequoia sempervirens, the world's tallest trees. Now we find here only a few nature reserves preserving the rest of this beautiful forest. One of them is Armstrong Redwoods State Natural Reserve. The tallest tree here is The Parson Jones Tree (94 meters high).
