Terchiin Cagaan Nuur Lake

In the middle of the Chorgo-Terchiin Cagaan National Park at 2054 m above sea level is located the beautiful Lake Terchiin Cagaan Nuur. The lake (16×20 km), with a depth of 10 meters, is surrounded by extinct volcanoes. Some parts of the coastline are sandy and in summer the lake water is warm enough to swim. There are pike and perch in the lake. From the northeast edge of the lake you can climb to the extinct volcano Chorgo Uul (2965 m above sea level).
