Spišská Kapitula together with Spiš castle were in 1993 registered in UNESCO. Located in Spišské podhradie on a hill. Its dominant feature is the late Romanesque cathedral of St. Martin from 1245 – 1273 with two towers. The cathedral contains an extremely valuable interior – Gothic altars, statues, tombstones, chalices, bells, etc. The frescoes from 1317 depict the coronation of the Hungarian King Charles Robert.
