Sacré Coeur is among the most impressive places in Paris. It stands on the summit of Montmartre. Sacré Coeur, translated into English, means the Holy Heart and is therefore dedicated to the Holy Heart of Jesus. The foundation stone was laid in 1875. The basilica is built of a travertine that colored this monument to the white colour.
