Argentina's largest lake – Lago Argentino – can be found in southern Patagonia in the Los Glaciares National Park. It covers an area of 1,450 square kilometers and reaches an impressive depth of up to 500 meters. However, tourists come to it mainly due to the fact that glaciers from the South Patagonian Glacier Field (Perito Moreno, Mayo, Onelli, Speggazzini and Upsala glaciers) flow into it.
