Visit of Red Fort

After you manage to cross extremely busy road separating the old town from the large complex of The Red Fort, you will finally be able to see the impressive entrance gate enhanced by several bastions. Basically, it is a complex of three gates, which made very difficult for a potential enemy to enter the town.
 

If you want to walk along the walls, you will probably not get very far, because local police officers do not like to see it for some reason. Anyway, the views straight up to the Lahaure gate are also worth seeing.
 

Naubat Khana also called as the House of drums or musicians by daily musical performances, which used to took place here at the time of Mughal emperors. Nowadays there is a small but quite interesting „Indian War Memorial Museum“, the visit of which is already included in the price of tickets to the entire area of Red Fort.
 

Guests heading to the emperor used to be received in Diwan-i -Aam called also „Hall of Public Audience“. Of course, the arches are beautifully decorated.
 

Wife and mistress of the emperor used to house in Rang Mahal (Colorful Palace). It is really brightly decorated.
 

Small but interesting mosque Moti  (Pearl) was intended only for the emperor.
 

Crafts in the interiors of the palace are incredible, almost fairytale.
 

The interiors of the palace are probably the most interesting thing you can see inside the Red Fort.
