The lake measures 8 hectares and is a popular tourist location with several campsites, many cottages and smaller hotels. It offers swimming, boating and hiking trails in the area. Hiking trails bypass the entire lake and offer routes to Vinian Castle or views of Zemplínská Šírava (Medvedia Mountain).
