Ascent over Loch Lomond

When you say Loch Lomond, some think of Scotland's largest lake, others a lake surrounded by hills, an adventurer like the West Highland Way, a romantic lake of many songs, which is sung in almost all languages, only we have many versions of this song, a gourmet such as the local distillery. The lake has an area of 71 square km, is 37 km long and 8 km wide. It reaches a depth of 192 meters. The highest hill is Ben Lomond 974m above sea level, which we will set off, but we will not reach the top. Before we went to the highest peak of the Loch Lomond and Trossachs National Parks, we spent the evening at the Cashel Camping & Caravan Park Forest Holidays. We have a little better weather in the morning. Scotland's weather is really inhospitable and it changes from hour to hour. The legendary 96-mile West Highland Way runs around this campsite, so it's quite busy. But this route does not lead through the highest mountain. This is a long tiring ascent. The mountain has a height of 974 m above sea level, but it is necessary to calculate that we start from a height of 8 m above sea level. It is necessary to define that the ascent will take about 4 hours on a leisurely journey. One really enjoys it here, because one sees a beautiful lake and I eat vast pastures full of sheep and heaths. When we reached a height of about 600 m above sea level, we entered the fog that had been held in these places since morning. So we decided whether it was worth continuing and not to see anything or to come together and still see a bit of the beauty of Scotland, so we decided to come together.
