Area Serra da Estrela

Serra da Estrela is the highest mountain range in mainland of Portugal (the highest peak is located in the Azores islands). The highest peak of the mountain range is Torre (1,993 meters above sea level). The highest peak can be reached by car and has an obelisk that aligns it up to 2,000 meters above sea level.
