The National Monument in Vítkov was built during the First Republic in the functionalist style in honor of our legionnaires from the First World War. During the communist era, it even served as a mausoleum of Clement Gotwald for a time. Now there is a museum. He is best known for his huge equestrian statue of Jan Žižka.
