Trip to the oldest part of Wroclaw
After the Wroclaw Market Square, Tumský ostrov is the second most visited part of the city. It was a real island before the blind branch of the Odra fell. This area is considered the oldest part of Wroclaw. Here you will find the highest density of churches in the city, including the most important cathedral of St. John the Baptist. The walk itself is relatively short, because the area is not so large, so if you do not walk further into the botanical garden

Be sure to start the walk on Piotr Włostowice Bulwar, from where there is perhaps the most beautiful view of the churches on Tumski Island. There is also a cruise ship dock.

As it is forbidden to put castles on the famous Tum Bridge, they are put in love on the railing just in front of it.

We cross the Tumski Bridge and after a while we are at the second most important church on Tumski Island – St. Bartholomew. In front of him is a beautiful statue of St. Jan Nepomucký.
